As an open-source project, it empowers DIY builders to customize and improve their setups, while also offering a turnkey option for those who prefer a ready-to-use solution. No matter which path you choose, you’re backed by a growing community of hashmakers committed to pushing the craft forward.

Technical Specs

The Hashinator offers fully adjustable speeds from 50–200 RPM, giving hashmakers precise control over their process. Most washes perform best between 80–120 RPM, though the ideal range also depends on the type of paddle being used and your desired outcome. Lower speeds paired with gentler paddles help preserve delicate trichomes, while higher speeds and more aggressive paddle designs maximize agitation and resin separation efficiency. Because every strain and setup is unique, the Hashinator encourages experimentation so you can fine-tune your own “sweet spot” for optimal results.
Yes. The Hashinator features bidirectional paddle rotation to prevent clumping and promote even agitation, closely mimicking the consistency of hand-stirring. At the moment, the reversal timing is hard-coded into the system, but it can be customized if requested in your build notes. In the near future, we’ll be rolling out a more flexible option that allows you to enter a specific time interval (in seconds) through an on-screen input box, giving you full control over exactly when the paddle switches direction. This evolution will let hashmakers tailor wash cycles even more precisely to their strains, paddle type, and desired resin profile.
The Hashinator uses a high-torque NEMA 34 closed-loop stepper motor paired with a professional-grade CL86T driver for precise speed and direction control. This setup ensures consistent torque across the entire RPM range, whisper-quiet operation, and long-term durability. For hashmakers, that means the paddle won’t lag, stall, or overspin—delivering smooth, controlled agitation that preserves delicate trichomes while providing repeatable, high-quality washes.
The Hashinator uses a closed-loop stepper motor system, which constantly monitors and corrects its position and speed in real time. Unlike open-loop motors that can drift, miss steps, or overheat, closed-loop control ensures the paddle moves with precise, repeatable accuracy. This matters for hash washing because even slight RPM fluctuations can create turbulence that bruises or breaks delicate trichome heads. By keeping agitation gentle, consistent, and reliable, the closed-loop system preserves resin quality, extends motor life, and delivers highly efficient trichome separation wash after wash.
The Hashinator runs on a 24V DC system powered by a high-efficiency 350W supply, drawing up to ~14–15A at full load. In real-world washing conditions, actual power consumption typically averages between 100–200W, with short spikes up to around 250W during heavy loads or paddle direction changes. The supply accepts 110–240V AC input, making it compatible with standard outlets worldwide. This setup ensures stable and consistent power delivery to the NEMA 34 closed-loop motor and control electronics while remaining energy-efficient and safe to operate, especially in wet-room environments.

Setup & Usage

Not at all! The Hashinator is fully pre-wired and plug-and-play, designed to run off any standard household outlet. All of the internal wiring uses professional-grade connectors for safety and reliability, so you don’t need any electrical experience. Setup is straightforward: unbox the unit, mount it securely, attach the paddle, and plug it in — then you’re ready to wash. While mounting can take a bit of time depending on your setup, no special wiring skills are required.
Yes! The Hashinator comes with a 7″ touchscreen that makes operation simple and intuitive. At the moment, you can set the wash time and adjust the RPM directly from the display, with everything designed for clarity so you can easily see what’s happening during each wash. Smooth speed ramps are already built in, and the system automatically switches between clockwise and counterclockwise directions with a short pause in between for gentle transitions. RPM is fully controllable, giving you flexibility to dial in the perfect agitation for your material. Looking ahead, our roadmap includes adding user-adjustable inputs for ramps, advanced cycle timing, and directional control. In addition, we’ll be offering future customization options—such as personalized case designs, branded themes, or unique styling—for those who want their Hashinator tailored to their own business or workflow.
Each Hashinator comes with the main unit, a premium stainless steel paddle of your choice, power cord, and a mounting plate with bolts and nuts. You’ll also get access to our comprehensive digital manual, lifetime firmware updates, community recipes, and our Discord support channel. If you join the Discord, you’ll receive a special role as a Hashinator owner, giving you premium access to new software releases and exclusive beta testing opportunities. Everything is packaged so you can start producing professional-quality hash right away.
Yes! The Hashinator is designed with flexibility in mind. At the moment, firmware updates are installed manually, but we are actively working on OTA (over-the-air) integration so soon updates will be delivered digitally, keeping your machine up to date with the latest features and improvements. In addition, we’ll be rolling out optional add-ons like advanced cycle timing, user-adjustable ramps, and enhanced directional controls. For those who want something more personal, we also plan to offer customization options—such as branded case designs, themed interfaces, or unique styling—to tailor the Hashinator to your workflow or business.
The Hashinator is designed for flexibility and can be used in wash vessels ranging from 5 to 40 gallons. The standard paddle sizes are 12″ to 13.5″ in diameter, which fit in vessels with an opening of at least 14″. However, we recommend using containers with a 16″ or larger diameter for proper clearance and to minimize motor strain. In cases where the motor pulls extra torque, the system may flex slightly — and if the clearance is too tight, the paddle could bump the vessel edges. By allowing extra space, you ensure smoother agitation, reduced stress on the motor, and more consistent results.
